Primroses on Cake Central

This was a wedding cake for a friend who wanted the two tiers to be 'floating' - I can't tell you how worried I was about balancing the stand to stop it flipping with the weight of the cakes and eventually came up with the idea to weigh the bottom down with a bag of potatoes (only the Irish!!) and decorate it with some fabric and ribbon. One cake is rich fruit cake and one is chocolate both decorated with sugarpaste primroses and ivy
