I wanted to try the Pretty Petal Effect technique featured on the My Cake School blog, using #12 tip and spatula. The hardest part was the very last row and trying to get it to look nice, if anyone can suggest a way to do it, I would love to hear from you. I wasn't thrilled with the top, I tried the Rose Petal Technique featured on I am baker blog, using the 1M tip. I think one color may have been better, my little ones walked in the kitchen just as I was starting the top and my concentration was interrupted. One note: make sure to have as many pastry bags and #12 tips as you have icing colors. Use the tip cupplers as well to change to the 1M tip for roses.
