Maisa was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type 1 and an hypthalamic optic glioma brain tumor when she was 2 1/2 years old. Now 7, Maisa has spent most of her life undergoing treatments and surgeries for her various conditions. Her brother Brendan, who suffers from Chron's disease, has been by her side throughout.
