Double Sided Koi Cake
A year ago I made my first fondant cake for my Mom's birthday. This year I wanted to go with the same theme but use some of the techniques I have learned from some of the great cake artist on CC. I wanted to give my Mom a grand cake with two different sides, without all the calories so only the bottom layer is real cake. The middle and top layers are dummies, covered in fondant...The koi is RKT covered in fondant, all the other decorations including the monkey plaque...because my Mom was born in the year of the monkey..are all made of a gumpaste/fondant mixture or royal icing. The dragonfly is fondant and royal with gelatin wings. Thank you so much for looking..
