60Th Birthday Cake on Cake Central

This is four layers of vanilla sour cream cake filled with white chocolate fudge, covered in fondant and topped with handmade modelling paste roses.

Thanks everyone! The recipes are from Feast by Nigella Lawson. I just left the cocoa out of the old fashioned chocolate cake and used white chocolate rather than dark in the filling. The flowers didn't work out exactly as I wanted them at all! I put them on the board to make cutting the cake easier - they could be removed rather than having to find a spot between the flowers to start. But I didn't have enough flowers to conceal the board. No one seemed to notice that this was a mistake, though.

your flowers look great, if your roses are wired which i imagine they are, you can put them onto a piece of covered oasis, or a half polysteirine ball, or you can wire them all together so you can just remove them before cutting.
