This is how I do all my images on cakes-I use Toba Garrett's glaze (usually used on cookies). You outline the image and then flood. It dries shiny and smooth. time consuming, but really nice effect.
To outline, you add more powdered sugar to the basic recipe (6-8 heaping T to 1/2 cup, so it takes about a count of 10 to come back together after passing a knife thru). Yes, you do it the same way as color flow, except you use Toba's glaze and do it directly on the cake (can't do it off and transfer, doesn't dry hard enough).
The image is gorgeous, you are very detailed in your work. Amazing job! You said to do the image you did it on the cake directly, did you project the image?

What do you outline with? I love her glaze. I used it on my valentine cookies and I am hooked
Is this tecnique the same as color flow? Do you do it directly on the cake or ahead of time and then transfer to the cake?
