I made this cake for a very special occasion! When we reached 5000 fans on facebook I decided to do a give-away. I had fans nominate someone that they thought deserved a fabulous cake and to tell the reason why. There were hundreds of entries and we chose the top 5 and drew one name. The winner was David Mayeaux and he was nominated by his mother - in - law. David just recently returned from a tour of duty in Iraq and missed the first year of his daughters life. When we contacted the family to let them know that they won, they decided they wanted a cake for that had pictures from their daughter's first year of life.... so this is what I came up with. Front and center is the picture of the families reunion when David stepped off the plane onto American soil again. I was absolutely honored to make this cake and LOVE the way it turned out!!! TFL!
