I made these cupcakes for my nieces 8th birthday party. She was having all her friend come to her mom's hair salon to get styles, so I thought some frilly flower cupcakes would suit them. I made yellow cake and filled the centers with a puff pastry cream. I used a yummy buttercream frosting recipie. For the flowers I used fondant and for my niece who's name is Julia I piped yellow J's on circle fondant cutouts I first brushed with some silver luster dust. They were a hit with all the girls and moms! The filling was wonderful light and not too sweet!
