A friend of mine asked me to do her brothers wedding cake. They wanted super simple. I had never made one before, but how hard could it be? So, I attempted it. Even though it was a simple cake, it was labor intensive!!!! Red velvet and cream cheese filling for bottom cake. Chocolate with banana cream and top cake is lemon with lemon filling. Buttercream frosting and fondant accents with ribbon at base and a fondant/gumpaste bow on top. Phew! Glad it's over with! Weighed about 50lbs. I only charged $300. Next time I will charge $500. Is that fair???
