Things learned while doing this cake: 1. Do not decorate the board until after the cake is finished. 2. It is really hard to get fondant on a taper square cake. 3. Chocolate fondant does not take color very well. 4. Never make a cake the night before you leave on vacation. Still, my Niece was so happy with it, and had decided that she wants to help me do cakes when ever she has time!
