This cake was done for my godson's 6th birthday. The monkey started with a PVC skeleton and was sculpted from a modeling chocolate/RKT mixture. He was then covered with modeling chocolate as a final layer. The party hat is fondant over a styrofoam cone. The present the monkey is holding was the actual cake - a 10" square banana cake with chocolate buttercream filling and icing, then covered with fondant. I loved working with the modeling chocolate.
