Needed to have a pirate themed cake for a birthday and this is what I came up with. I made the "1st cake" Thursday night - next morning it had split in half (had my own shipwreck)LOL. Luckily I had another 9 x 13 that I was able to use. I was able to salvage the backend of the cake and piece in the front and middle. Over all, the 2nd one came out better than the first and everyone was happy with it.
