After doing Dora and Buzz this month, I can honestly say I am tired of character pans! I never imagined they were so much work- so many colors to mix and so many details to draw on your own. It's hard to see most of the details when the cakes first come out. Also, after all these years of seeing these pans at the store, it never occurred to me that the pic you see as an example is reverse of what you will actually make! Overall, I like the cake but I messed up and did not make the icing for his face dark enough. When I took a pic I realized it looked practically white. Later I tried brushing some newly tinted thinned icing over it. It would have been much better had I done it right the first time. Good thing I'd decided to do a smooth face so this attempt at recovery wasn't too hard. Thanks for looking.
