My First Ever Cake!

This is my first attempt at decorating since I was ten years old, when I'm sure my mum probably did most of it for me (but let me believe I did it all =) ). I used this recipe for the cake: http://www.dianasdesserts.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/recipes.recipeListing/filter/dianas/recipeID/2162/Recipe.cfm It seems like a good, dense cake which may be good for stacked cakes (I have yet to try, eek!). Could be slightly more moist. I thought the cake was too shallow to torte but now I have cut it, it looks like it could have been done. BC crumb layer and pink fondant with white fondant bow. I am quite pleased with the bow despite the fact it is already cracking! Pics taken yesterday show the loops have flattened considerably over night. I should definitely have left my tissue supports in longer. And I should have made the tails more flowing. But YAY, the most important thing is that the cake tastes good! Served it with jam to compensate for no filling, and the fondant didn't taste like food colouring, which I was worried about. I am happy with my first attempt and am glad I have realised how to rectify my mistakes for future =) Hurrah!
