Never heard of a funeral cake till I was asked to do this one. It was for my father in law's wive's aunt who passed away. She asked for a simple sheet cake with flowers. It's butter cake iced in buttercream. I wish I could take credit for the flowers, but because she asked for this 2 days ahead of time, i thought it'd be better just to buy them and place them on. I piped leaves around them to fill in the gaps.
