Trying out a couple of new toys -- the houndstooth stencil and a pearl cutter. The tricky part with the stencil is matching up the pattern since the stencil is only about a third of the circumference of an 8-inch round. I used a strip of fondant rather than trying it directly on the cake. Matching the seams is tough!
