This cake was a fruit cake with marzipan and fondant icing. The lady whose mothers cake it was wanted one to take to her dancing afternoons. Most of the "girls" are over eighty, so wanted a nice bit of fruit cake not everyday sponge. Their words not mine. So I hope they enjoy.
