This was my first attempt at a purse cake. The in thing at my daughter's school is the Kathy purses so this was made for a friend of my daughter's. She loved it. It is chocolate cake with strawberry filling and chocolate buttercream under the fondant. The emblem is made of fondant and has edible pearls around it. I was under a small time restraint. I actually baked and put together the entire cake in less than 4 hours.
