Close Up Flowers

Close Up Flowers on Cake Central

If anyone can see what i'm doing wrong with the flowers, please help! I think my icing was too thin again because my centers kept tilting over. Do I need to let the different layers set before i add more petals or is it just my icing?

It might not be your icing, but the heat from your hands that is softening the icing. Try adding more powdered sugar, maybe 1/4 cup to the batch. I have very hot hands, and use parchment bags instead. It forms a barrier between my hand and the icing, which lets it hold up longer. But for all the problems you had with the icing, the cake looks very good! -- Theresa
