Owen had a dinosaur party when he turned 2 and here's the cake I made for him. It was chocolate with chocolate buttercream icing. The cake part was fast and easy, but the cake decorations were another story. I bought a rubber dinosaur and mounted a stick to his foot so I could stick it in the cake and get him to stay put. I rolled up a piece of colored paper and glued tiny pompom balls on it, frillies for the top and an elastic strap so it would stay on. I also hot glued some plastic greenery into odd designs to imitate the times on Earth when dinosaurs roamed. Owen loved his cake and, as always, I loved making it for him~
