Star Wars

Star Wars on Cake Central

This is for a little boy that wanted a light saber BD cake. Shaped out of a 9 X 13 french vanilla cake covered in BC frosting with fondant accents. Loved how this turned out.

Cut 9X 13 cake and laid end to end. Then started rounding edges until it looked right. Semi-freeze cake.

How many kids did your cake feed? I'm borrowing your idea but the cake needs to feed 25 kids. I am using a 12X18 sheet cake, cutting it in half (the long way) and laying it end to end. I figure by the time I am done shaping the light saber it will be about 32"-34". I'm hoping it's enough. The kids are all around 6. They don't eat much anyway!! Thanks for a great idea!
