This cake was for my daughter's third birthday. It is a strawberry cake with strawberry buttercream icing and filling (per my daughter's request - everything PINK! HA!). The ballet shoes, letters, flowers, butterflies and number 3 are all gum paste. Cake is covered in fondant with a fondant "skirt" on the first tier. The cake board is covered in fondant in strips to look like wood slats for a dancer's wooden floor and airbrushed to look like woodgrain. Luster dust was used over the whole cake and decor.
