This is a cake I made for my son's first birthday. It was a monkey themed party, so the cake is supposed to represent a monkey holding birthday gifts. In total the cake consisted of three tiers, with seven layers in total. The bottom tier was vanilla cake with chocolate/banana pudding filling. The middle tier was chocolate cake with white chocolate/raspberry pudding filling. The top tier was vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream filling. The party hat was made of rice krispie treats wrapped on fondant and topped with cotton candy. The ears were also made of rice krispie treats.
