I used Rich's Bettercreme over a half chocolate half yellow cake (delicious) as well as for the picture. I used the Frozen Buttercreme Transfer directions by Dawn, but I didn't get the chance to freeze it as long as needed and some of the icing stuck to the wax paper so I had to fill it in with what I had left in the bag.
