Turkey on Cake Central

ball cake w/ buttercream and fondant head, legs, and feathers. I made this for our church auction at Thanksgiving!

I am replicating your turkey cake for a hunter's birthday! I guess it's the only thing he has ever shot haha...I'm just wondering how you attached the large feathers?? I will post it when I'm done and give you all the credit!

I used cocktail skewers (wooden). I folded the feathers over the sides and let them dry a few minutes. I used the same skewer to mark the lines in the turkey feathers. I just pushed them right down into the cake. He was so fun to make!
