For a little girls birthday. I used a balloon weight as the topper. I covered the piece that you attach the balloon to with icing. The strawberries around the cake were heart shape cupcakes. Some had strawberry preserves while others had strawberry icing.. I covered them with fondant and hand painted them to look like strawberries.
