I did this cake for my neighbour's Grandson. I had his mom give me one of his dump trucks. I wrapped the 'hydrolic arms' (made from cut dowels) in tin foil then secured them to the bottom of the truck with fondant. Covered a 30X16 board with gold cake paper (little feet on the bottom to make it easier to lift), covered that with Choc. BC and then with chocolate cookie crumbs (got from the bulk store). Then I build the cake in the bucket (chocolate cake) to a rough point (actually held quite a bit of cake), covered it with choc. BC, and then covered that with the cookie crumbs. Stuck the shovel in as a gift for Jack. On the 'ground', I build a retaining wall from candy Lego, built another small pile of 'cake dirt' inside that, then scattered candy pebbles over the whole thing. One note - make sure you either secure the front of the truck with your thumb while carrying it - or secure the truck to the board. It tipped on the way out the door, but minimal damage that was easy to repair.
