I just had to show this one off. My dd had 3rd grade major project. They were to research an animal they wanted to know more about, do a diorama (shoe box scene), full report and an oral presentation. She first wanted to do this from cake, but I was able to talk her into floral foam for the "mountain". She rolled and applied to fondant to the mountain area, helped make the royal icing for the trees (sugar cones), and piped them. We made colored poured sugar for the "lake, and she made fondat ice on the lake. She was so proud!!! US TOO!

I was touched that she thought the cake making supplies would be a great school project. The report and all her work earned her an A+. The only one in the class.
