My husband wanted brownies instead of a birthday cake so I made this brownie ice cream layer cake from www.familyfun.com. The brownies were baked in 2 2x9" pans and when cooled completely, I spread softened vanilla ice cream, softened for a about 15 minutes out of the freezer. I then spread Polaner Raspberry jam around the edges before adding the chocolate chips/walnuts. This acted as a glue for the chips/walnuts. I then cut out a poker suits stencil and sifted a bit of powdered sugar over it to match the theme of the party.
