Carved this pageboy hat to represent the ones that the birthday girl was known for wearing. A mat made for shelf liners was used to make the "tweed" look on the surface and fondant for the accents. The bill is made from gumpaste and the cake is iced in chocolate buttercream. This was fun to figure out & make.
