This was made from three 10" square cakes that were 4"s tall each. The rounded top was made from 10" rounds cut in half and stood on the cut edges. Iced the whole thing with butter cream and then wrapped in chocolate fondant. Because the cake was so tall, I had a center dowel screwed into the wooden base plate. I cut holes in all the cake boards so I could just slip them over the dowl. The cake never moved during transportation. It was for a 60th birthday party.
