I made this cake for my Dad's birthday. He is a former member of the Air Force and loves the flag so much! I made the base of the cake with inlaid stars and draped the red and white stripes over the top. I created the Statue of Liberty out of color flow and placed her gingerly on the cake. The writing is with edible markers. I loved making this cake. It was a chocolate/vanilla buttercream.
