Is it real fruit? How exactly do you sugar it? what kind? It is really pretty!

The cake the fruit is all real. The garland around it is fake sugared fruit. Hereâs what I did: I sliced a pomegranate and an orange, the other fruits â cranberries, grapes, small sugar pears â were left whole. I toothpicked them all then brushed with piping gel and dipped in a small bowl of Wilton white sparkling sugar.
