Each tier is one layer of strawberry cake and one layer of banana cake, with raspberry preserves in between. The icing is all buttercream, with buttercream flowers, and edible butterflies I made myself. It's hard to see in the picture, but I put pearl dust on the pearls trimming the tiers and on the wings of the butterflies and on the tips of the rose petals and centers of the daisies. This was for a baby shower and it's my 5th cake ever! I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.
