Tiles Birthday Cake (Like Ledas Bakery)
I adore the cakes at www.ledasbakery.com, so I jumped at the chance to try my hand at one of their designs using fondant "tiles" and "lettering". So simple, but so pretty!
I must practice my ribbon roses. They crack before I can even roll them up nicely! Grrrrrrrrr!

I love Leda's designs too! What do you use for your letters? Are your ribbon roses gumpaste or fondant? Try using a bit of shortening to soften them up and help with some stretch
The letters are just cut-outs using the Fox Run alphabet kit. The roses were fondant. I will try the shortening! Thanks.
