Star Wars Cake
This is an ice cream cake I made for my son's 6th birthday. It is chocolate chip ice cream and chocolate cake covered in buttercream. "Dirt" is crushed Teddy Grahams, and Rocks are broken Nestle's Crunch bars. The light saber was crafted out of rolled fondant.
The light saber is the coolest!!! I thought it was a plastic toy until I read the info!!! WTG :D

Thank you! The bottom layer is choc chip ice cream, the top layer choc cake. Whole cake is iced in white buttercream w/ brown buttercream (not choc) borders. The saber is made out of rolled fondant. Ice cream was softened and packed into the pan & refrozen. When cake was assembled, I could only work w/ it for 15 min or so before having to refreeze it. So I had to work fast. Dirt was crushed teddy grahams and broken nestle crunch bars. Characters were from toy dept. Let me know if you need more info.

Whoo hoo!!!!!!!! Bravo!!!!!! My 4 year old loves Star wars!!! he is sitting here on my lap and of course "oooing and ahhhhing" my R2D2 cake is on this site too! I am glad someone still likes Star wars!
