I am making a cake for my birthday which is on Saturday, and I am making the cake on Friday afternoon. I don't have any more plastic wrap, and I try not to use plastic. Is there any way I could use anything else to wrap my cake to freeze it or can I just put it directly into the freezer in the pans? I will be adding some simple syrup to it too if that makes a difference. Thanks!

All I can think of is a plastic bag.   Well..... leaving it in the pan and just over night u can cover it w/aluminum foil.   Just be sure nothing touches it as foil easily develops pinhole that will allow the cake to dry out
