What size cake box would I need for a 12x18 cake? I ask because I know I would need a bigger cake board than 12x18. Would it be a 14x20? Do they make this size? Thank you in advance
Don't forget to allow for the size of your board.
I see that there is conflicting information on what size cakes feed 40 for sheet cakes. What size would you suggest? Thank you
Also would be doing a 2 layer sheet cake. So would going with 2-9x13 feed 40?
I'm so sorry for all my many questions, just I never did but one small sheet cake before.
I think I would make a 1/2 sheet cake torted to feed 40?
A two layer 9x13 (x4”) would be cut in “wedding servings” slices of 1x2x4 so it should give you 48 slices A12x18x2 (single layer) torted would be cut in servings of 2 x2 x2 yielding 54 How either is actually cut might be different but that’s how we come up w/the numbers for size/servings & pricing The total amount of cake in each way of serving is the same (1x2x4 vs 2x2x2) .... sooo do you want a bigger surface to decorate? Does the client want cake left over? Let them decide

such a smart lady! it doesn't matter what size your cake is, It's the size of the board that you put it on.
Thanks, MBalaska! I don't hear that often, lol!
