My 1st thought was peanut butter cookies but then realized most of not all schools will not allow peanut anything Then I saw you want to decorate them I have never used it but there is a recipe on this site for the perfect sugar cookie Not exactly sure of the title of it but I bet it won’t take much searching to find it

I use almond bark to lightly decorate my cookies -- like an outline or whatever -- I also take a bit of cookie dough and thin it out to piping consistency and pipe some décor on there before baking -- then glaze them -- for some reason it's easier than royal to me and tastier for sure
