Anybody want to talk wonderful cookie recipes? 

I never bake cookies but my daughter wants to take cookies to school. I would like a great cookie and royal icing recipe. Anybody want to share?

My 1st thought was peanut butter cookies but then realized most of not all schools will not allow peanut anything   Then I saw you want to decorate them  I have never used it but there is a recipe on this site for the perfect sugar cookie   Not exactly sure of the title of it but I bet it won’t take much searching to find it

I use almond bark to lightly decorate my cookies -- like an outline or whatever -- I also take a bit of cookie dough and thin it out to piping consistency and pipe some décor on there before baking -- then glaze them -- for some reason it's easier than royal to me and tastier for sure
