Hello friends,

I have to make a rectangular cake that looks like a prayer rug like I did earlier (pic attached) My cakes are 4 inch high. I need 20 servings and want to figure out a size that would serve and look proportioned as well. Thanks!

I have even sized square pan or 13x9 rectangular. I can trim to size..

The 9x13x4 should serve 20 just fine.   If you want you could cut off about 1" from  the 9" side about adding that cake to the 13" side to enlongate it a bit  -- ending up with a cake about 7 1/2" x 14"x4".  That's accounting for the normal amount of srinkage.

Thanks so much kakeladi. I was afraid it might be too much cake for 20 people as its 4 inches tall. I will do just that. You are awesome!
