If you look in the stores mentioned...they carry very few, what I call usable molds. What to look for is the rectangle molds they are in pink, yellow, blue and green. Below is what I am speaking of. Lace mats Aliexpress, or DHgate has great prices if you can wait for them. If not hit up a professional baking store..
Sorry if the pic is huge!

thank you, shiney -- the vet said he is ok -- we're still both a little wired but we're good --
when is the wedding? how many cookies are you making????
I found several stencils of small roses in my stuff -- I got them at michaels's or hobby lobby and it's in the area where they have the inking stamps -- finding a small rose in a stamp or a stencil should be easy peasy -- I mean if you wanted a one inch iris or calla lily I don't know might be more difficult but a small rose stencil or stamp is a classic --
I recommend using rolled buttercream after you get your rose/s on there-- you can use a dough cutter or ruler and impress the lattice design --
when you use rolled buttercream as you may already know -- you roll it, decorate it, cut it out, remove the excess, leaving the decorated product on the sheet undisturbed -- stick it in the freezer -- cut out the same number of cookies -- bake -- while still hot right out of the oven -- place the frozen buttercream on top -- viola
Thanks! Yes, when I did cookies, I always used RBC, everyone liked the taste, then I detail on top with RI. I actually 'glue' with corn syrup. I didn't think of looking at stamps, I will do that! I may be coming here looking for you when I get going on these if I have trouble. Thanks so so much!!!!!
omg -- you're doing cake and intricate cookies? you know of course that this means you are exempt from typical mother of the bride duties -- in a perfect world that is -- you need to plan plan plan like I need to tell you that -- but y'know if you freeze your cake early all setup in tiers -- and you could freeze the unbaked cookie and the rolled buttercream décor -- you could just whip everything out last minute and bake the cookie slap on the toppers and you're good to go --
and a thought for you -- get peeps lined up to help you Now -- even if you don't know exactly what they can do for you at this point -- just get them signed up as you can -- you might need someone to run to the store, put gas in your car, I mean 10,000 thing s could pop up --
this is exciting
The mat shown above it made by Wilton and is available at Walmart, Michael's, Jo Ann's, lots of places. It was my first mold and I've used it bunches. Works great.
kakeladi, I have so many brides in love with Pintrest, etc. I am constantly finding cool things by accident! Cake ain't just cake anymore! LOL But the lace video I had just stumbled up on before I went onto CC to look at the forums and happened to see the young ladies request. Perfect timing I guess.
Thanks Y'all! Probably the last set of cookies I ever do! I used to LOVE to create and decorate, but lost my passion for it, maybe if that's all I did and didn't work a full-time job I would want to continue. I only did cookies to raise money for my daughter's missions trips, and I did A LOT of them.
well i'd say you had a glorious sweet cookie career supporting your mission minded daughter who went to serve others all the while her mother serving her -- lovely lovely lovely -- brava to shiney!!!!
shiney -- thanks for asking about my pooch back in march :) he had been attacked by the neighbor's dog -- he's doing real good -- the neighbor was tasked with paying for the $50 vet bill -- he was paying $10/month for two months then it dropped down to $5 a month -- hahahahaha omg-- you can't make this stuff up --
actually had a bad scare yesterday -- she was bringing him outside while we were outside and she was giving a lot of commands the dog was not responding too -- but we high tailed it into the house -- in their defense they are trying to train him -- but I know who's in charge --
maybe I already answered in march -- I was reading the thread backwards and musta missed some posts or something -- anyway --
The cake is beautiful and so are your cookies.....well, the cookies are even prettier than the cake!
