Weirdest Thing You've Seen In Cake Picture.

I'm looking around at local bakers trying to set a price for my cakes. I came across a local home baker and their main cake picture for the ad amazed me, and cracked me up! The cake isn't bad but is sitting on a washer and dryer next to the laundry chemicals! I won't post a picture Incase that person is on here. My instant reaction is why would someone buy a cake from that person!?
So I want to know what is the weirdest/ funniest thing you have seen in a cake picture?

I guess it wasn't really weird, but someone posted a picture, which was made outside in the garden, of their cake and there was a kitty photo bombing it in the background. It was pretty cute, actually.

Not really weird, but it grosses me out when people take a picture of their cake on the ground outside. I understand they want the lighting, and maybe the scenery is matching the cake or something, but all I can think about is bugs crawling on it, and all of the other nasty things on the ground. Ick.

I've never photographed a real cake setting on the ground and only rarely outside, but I do make pictures of my models outside all the time. While edible, I am usually making them for a collaboration and they will never be eaten.

Oh goodness SandraSmiley :) Wouldn't that be something made in cake??

@kakeladi , she is made out of modeling chocolate with gum paste flowers and gelatin wings. I have never done a carved cake because I don't have anyone to eat it.

This is something that has always boggled my mind. I always see unlicensed bakes with their cut-price cakes on the floor, outside on the deck, or in their dirty kitchens; but the worst one was where the cake was on this horrendously dirty stove top and you could quite literally see a cats tail in the corner of the photo..so not only was the kitchen dirty, their cat was on the counter top and probably walking all over the surfaces of the counter used to roll that fondant. Just gross.

Thank you so much, @remnant3333 ! She was done for the Spring Fairy Tales collaboration earlier this year. I knew everyone would do pretty, dainty fairies and I wanted something a bit different......!

@SandraSmiley That is so awesome! Every picture I have seen of your work is amazing!! I was obsessed with fairys growing up. I didn't like the cute girly ones more of the darker ones. They are hard to find though.

Oh, I like cute fairies, @Shanelly , but I just wanted something a bit different. I am pretty much terrified of frogs, so it really creeped me out making the legs and feet. She really looked creepy before I painted her!

@SandraSmiley She does look creepy un painted! I didn't notice her feet before very creepy lol

@SandraSmiley That is some awesome sculpting work!!! You are right, she is super creepy without being painted, but I didn't notice the feet til the last picture either! It is a gorgeous piece!

I was looking at photos online searching for inspiration and I came across a cake that was fantastic - except for the dirty ashtray full of butts beside the cake. How horrifying and gross - disgusting really.
I've also seen a lot of dirty kitchens. There is a photo in the newest section right now with a cat beside the cake on the table - gross.

@Shanelly and @GIGGLEBOX2014 , she is supposed to be a frog fairy. I found a painting on line of a frog fairy (very different from this) and was intrigued (and creeped out)! Thank you both for your sweet compliments!!

@MsGF , I looked at the currently posted picture and I do not believe the cat is beside the cake at all. If you notice the depth field on the photo, it appears that the cat is a considerable distance away from the cake in the background.

@SandraSmiley I love your frogfairy! Did anyone ever tell you that you look like Suzanne Somers? I bet you get that a lot!

LOL - nope, that is a first @aldonza ! When I was young and my hair was still black instead of white, people used to think I looked like Cher, but Suzanne, never. That's OK, I'd take either for sure. Thank you for your sweet comment on the Frog Fairy!

@SandraSmiley I just creeped on your page. Holy crap are you an amazing sculptor!!!!!!

@aldonza , you are so sweet! I have been drawing and painting all of my life, but never sculpted anything prior discovering sugar art. What a shock to discover that I really love it!

I could totally see Cher @SandraSmiley even with the different colored hair !!!!

@GIGGLEBOX2014 , Cher has had a lot of work, I've just gotten old, haha! We did favor when we both had young, natural faces.
