Good morning Bakers!

I received a call late last night for a surprise 30 th birthday, the party is of course next week :)

I have never made a number cake before and I am trying to figure out servings, I need 50 servings. Everything I am seeing is 8" rounds( two for the "3" and one for the "0") and an 8" square (to elongate the 0). Will increasing the rounds increase the servings ( I feel like "Duh, of course it will") I just can't visualize it.

Thank you for your help!!!

Ashlie

I've done a # 30 cake in the past.  I made number templates using rectangular cake boards and used those to cut the cakes out of a 1/2 sheet cake.  Much easier that way, imho.  And, you can make them any size you want.

Also, you can make them any font you want, as well.

how about doing something like this:   http://www.cakecentral.com/gallery/i/1271589/mans-80th-birthday

You can make the  numbers any size you want to go on whatever size cakes you need.
