Why in God's earthands have I stumbled so much with red icing when I didn't have to. Oh the stress and years taken off my life for no reason! Cocoa powder and red mixed to a thick paste and added to some "redish" icing I mixed last night. I'm so glad I finally tried this.

Thanks for the heads up. I have never been able to get a bright red either so I know I will try this next time I need red. Normally I try to avoid making red icing due to that problem.

This is after 24 hrs. Yes it could be used in a horror movie! It doesn't take too much cocoa if you start with a decent base red, and it gets rid of some of that red aftertaste I hate. This went on a chocolate fudge cake, so it worked out perfect. At least I hope so. I haven't heard from the customer yet.
