I just got an e-mail from the person I made the attached engagement cake for. She said everyone loved the cake and that it tasted as great as it looked! She said she gave my name and number out to at least a dozen people at the party! Hopefully i'll get a few orders. Maybe a wedding cake for the couple!

Thanks good36! The cake was chocolate fudge with vanilla buttercream filling and vanilla Satin Ice fondant. The bows were made with the Satin Ice fondant also ~ then brushed with luster dust.

WOW! YOUR CAKE IS BEAUTIFUL. I WISH I COULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I JUST DON'T HAVE THE TIME. I WOULD LIKE TO TRY THE FONDANT BUT I AM INVOLVED IN WAY TOO MANY THINGS, BETWEEN THE TWO KIDS, WORK, THE FIRE DEPT, HUSBAND'S BUSINESS - NOT TOO MUCH TIME LEFT FOR ME TO PLAY AND TRY IT OUT.

Wow that cake is beautiful and very elegant. You'll be getting alot of calls soon. The same thing happened to me with a friend I made a wedding cake for and now his family and friends always request me to make their cakes over a well known bakery that they used to go to.
