It was just a practice cake, but I kinda want to have some kinda decoration...lol Any ideas?? I am still new, so I need something that lets so ..oh...a beginner could do.. icon_rolleyes.gif

TIA

Use it to practice your piping skills...outline some balloon shapes...then use different colors and piping tips to decorate each ballon....you will get practice mixing your colors and using different tips.

Things that start the creative juices and are good to practice are: roses and flowers, borders and writing. Pick some great colors and go from there. I personally have been wanting to try a reverse shell border which seems simple but is very pretty.

Hope this helps. Also, sotas are great and something else that is good to practice is basketweave which would also be great for an 8 in. round cake. Hope this helps.

1. Go to the fridge
2. Get out the milk
3. Get out the cake.
4. Drink the milk from the carton.
5. Eat the entire cake.
6. Use this time to reflect on what a perfect cake it was and how good it
tasted.

Look at the family, with crumbs on your shirt and milk on your upper lip...burp loudly and say..."What...?"

Wasn't sure if you put your cake in the fridge or your muse was in the fridge...LOL! Either way take it out of the fridge and just start trying all sorts of things........how about cornelli lace...fairly easy and very pretty!

I'm with Dale too..... Decorate the heck out of it, then eat it! I'd say practice borders, scroll work, and writing.

I would just sit & look thru the Wilton year book & try to find something you never did.
Then do what Dale said.....

LOL Dale...you crack me up!! TY too Squirrlley! Not much to it, just something to test out the smoothing really. I need a challenge. I think that is my problem, because I just started, there is really no purpose for my cakes...lol I need an assignment before I get bored icon_cry.gif I did manage to test out my new wonder mold tonight, but camera is acting up. I told hubby to give me a weekly assignment..like a theme...but no luck thumbsdown.gif Oh well,...LOL TY for the comments

It only drives my husband crazy because he thinks he's a horrible actor. He can't understand what I see in him. My response...."hello, look at him"....... icon_wink.gif
