I read today on facebook that a fellow cakecentral member, Rylan TY has died? Please let this be a sick joke.......  he is such great talent in the art, it would be sooooo sad if it were so.. Can someone please tell me it ain't so?

It is true.  Edna posted about it...he took his own life.  Such a horrible loss to all.  He was a kind and gentle soul - and such an amazing artist.  I am still in shock that he is gone......rest in peace Rylan Ty.

Anna - i just received a phone call from America telling me that yes, it is true... He took his own life...  due to his broken heart.... my eyes burn with tears... i cannot comphrehend the reality of it at the moment...

What terrible news...so sad!

Oh no... This is horrible.  He was such a talented young man, and so willing to share information.  The cake world has lost an important member.  My thoughts are with his family.  

That is so sad. I wish everyone on CC had known he was going through a hard time.  There are so many good people on this website.  

Oh my!  I know i don't post much but I do read every day and he was one of the first people on here that I fell in love with.  I never talked or emailed him or anything but I totally looked up to him and read his blog sometimes (when I had the chance).  I have missed him here on CC but figured he was busy doing other things.  My heart breaks for him and his family.  To be so sad and so upset.  I've been there.  I just wish we (or at least someone here) knew what he was going through.

Good by Rylan...you will be dearly missed.  An awesome and talented decorator and I'm sure a better person.

This is so sad...  I wish we could have known that he was in pain.  Maybe his fellow cakers could have lifted him back up.  I was so hoping we could meet in person one day.  My prayers to his family.  :-(

AI absolutely mean no disrespect, but I'm wondering where the information came from and if it has been verified as fact. I only ask because of what happened with him several years ago. If this is true, it's very sad and I can only wish his friends and family strength and peace in dealing with such a sad event.
