At the wedding that I did this past weekend, a man came up, got in real close to the cake and commented on my "fondant" being perfect. It was BC. He said his wife decorated cakes and she didn't like fondant. I told him it wasn't my favorite, either. He was floored when I told him it was buttercream frosting, "My wife has got to see this."

Wow! Congratulations!! You must be just estatic.. And he's right, those cakes in your gallery with the diamond impression do look like fondant.

wow! that is just great. That must have been one confidence boost when he thought it was fondant! Congratulations. It is always good to get a great comment like that.

Wow, great compliment and wasn't it nice of him to comment! I think cake decorators' comments mean more than other folks!

Congrats on the compliment! I know that it makes the heart feel good when your work is really appreciated. I think that the cakes you do are wonderful anyway!! But it is good to know that someone else out there was paying attention.
