Hello Everyone,
I am new to the cake decorating business and am desperate for help on how to price cakes. I know that you all know the time and effort that goes into a cake. If you could give me some pointers or suggestions on what you guys use to price your cakes. I don't want to give them away for free haha... but my area is not used to paying much for cakes. I also have a picture of a cake that a customer wants and I want to know what you would pay for it.

Price = ingredients + labor (hourly rate * # of hours for prep, baking, decorating, packaging, cleanup) + per-order overhead (utilities, advertising, license fees, insurance) + profit margin
